CIB advising on Hydro-Fibre Link project

Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) has signed a memorandum of understanding to advise on the proposed C$1.6 billion ($751 million) Manitoba-Nunavut Hydro-Fibre Link. The proposed project involves the construction of a 1200 km, 150MW electricity transmission line and broadband fibre between Nunavut and Manitoba. The project is being developed by Anbaric Development Partners, which includes Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and the Kivalliq Inuit Association through its business arm Sakku Investments.
