Cyprus offers state guarantee for 50MW CSP project

The minority government of Cyprus has managed to get agreement for the provision of a €60.2 million ($65 million) state guarantee for a 50MW concentrated solar power project backed by the EU's NER300 programme for innovative technologies. The €175 million CY CSPc EOS Green Energy project will be located near Limassol and will incorporate a system devised by Australian company Solastor. Alfa Mediterranean Enterprises is preparing to finance the facility with a loan from the European Investment Bank.
