KfW lends $30m to finance Tunisian canal project

German development bank KfW has granted Tunisia a loan of € 27.5 million ($29.9 million) to finish the Medjerda-Cap Bon Canal modernization project.

The project, which is part of the financial cooperation between Tunisia and Germany, aims to modernize the infrastructure and equipment for the Medjerda-Cap Bon Canal and respond to the growing needs of drinking and irrigation water in rural areas in the northeast of the country.
