The EIB has agreed a €60 million 15-year loan for state-owned Ignitis Group to part finance the €127 million 94MW Pomerania Wind project in Poland. Ignitis’ subsidiary, UAB Ignitis Renewables, which owns the project, will sign an agreement with EIB pledging 100% of the shares of Pomerania in favour of the lender. The loan will mature on 31 December 2035.

Construction of the project started in July 2019 and is due to be completed in 2021. The scheme benefits from a 15-year guaranteed tariff of Z215 per MWh ($50/MWh) won in Poland's November 2018 renewable energy auction.
