World Bank finances $150m Kenyan solar electrification programme

The World Bank is financing a $150 million project solar electrification programme in Kenya. 

Kenya hopes the project will connect 250,000 households in 14 counties to solar power. More than 800 public facilities will also be connected. People importing solar products are also going enjoy tax exemptions and incentives in order to make them affordable.
