EBRD extends loan to Akbank to boost lending to Turkish businesses

The EBRD has continued its efforts to support Turkish businesses struggling as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic by providing a new $75 million loan to Akbank. The DFI Is prepared to provide over €21 billion over the course of 2020-21 to the 38 economies it currently invests, including Turkey, a country in which the EBRD has the greatest exposure to out of all the countries it invests in.
