World Bank signs $175m budget support for Tunisia amid COVID-19 crisis

The World Bank has approved budget support of $175 million for Tunisia to help the country deal with the economic impact of COVID-19.

The Resilience and Recovery Emergency Development Policy Operation includes contributions from the World Bank, KfW, Agence Francaise de Developpement Group, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and the African Development Bank.

The international support aims to help Tunisia to protect vulnerable households and firms from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis; and implement economic reforms that will enable the country to improve its post-crisis recovery.
