Proparco finances solar PV project and production boost for T&C Garments

France's Proparco has agreed a $20 million loan to Egyptian apparel company T&C Garments. The funds will help the company double its production facility over the coming years. and support thousands of jobs.

T&C Garments, which is one of the country’s top denim producers, will also use the loan to finance the installation of solar photovoltaic panels covering close to a third of the company’s electricity needs, as well as a water-recycling unit to improve filtration and recycle up to 90% of the company’s wastewater.
