Brazilian development bank BNDES has secured a $100 million loan from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.

The funds raised will leverage support for the wind turbines of 12 wind farms in Bahía and Pernambuco, which together have a total installed capacity of 331.85MW and investments that exceed BRL2 billion ($370 million).

The financing was disbursed in a single installment and has its origin in an external loan contract. The term is 12 years and is co-financed by Mizuho Bank and The Bank of Saga. It represents the fifth operation carried out with JBIC under the Green Line (Global Action for Reconciling Economic Growth and Environmental Preservation).
