Proparco unveils $30m financings in China

Region:
Asia-Pacific

France's Proparco has announed the signing of two loans in China.

The first loan, for $20 million, has been allocated to CD Finance, China’s main microfinance institution in rural areas. The funds will be used to develop the loans allocated to women microentrepreneurs in the Gansu region, which is the second poorest province in China in terms of per capita income. The project will allow for the granting of 4,000 additional microcredits.

The second loan, for $10 million, will finance Lionbridge Financial Leasing's program for electric trucks. The credit line will allow Lionbridge - which has over 100,000 SME and autoentrepreneur clients, mainly in rural areas - to finance the acquisition of over 300 electric trucks.
