NIB finances test centre for electromobility in Sweden

The Nordic Investment Bank and special purpose company Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory (SEEL) have agreed a 16-year debt financing of SEK630 million (€63 million). The funds will be used to finance the construction of laboratories and test sites for vehicle battery development and electrified transport.

SEEL will provide a test centre for different areas and aspects of electrified transport, such as component testing for hybrids and electric cars, the development of vehicle batteries, charging and smart power management as well as testing of electrified gear boxes and drive shafts for different kinds of vehicles.
