Dutch development bank FMO and France's Proparco have launched an €80 million syndicated facility to support Turkish agricultural group Kılıç Deniz. The syndication is led by FMO, which is committing €65 million, with Proparco committing €15 million.

The funds wil support Kılıç Deniz’s ongoing business expansion across Turkey, further promote the company’s sustainable production of sea bass, sea bream, and rainbow trout, while also optimize its balance sheet.

FMO originally signed a bilateral €50 million term loan facility with Kılıç Deniz in 2019 to support the company’s business growth; this new syndicated facility will replace the previous bilateral facility and increase FMO’s total commitment to €65 million, alongside Proparco as the other participating development finance institution.
