Video
Region:
Americas

Today’s Exile is Jorge Barrigh, Regional Director at Heifer Impact Capital. Jorge’s career has been defined by construction - whether that’s building engineering projects, carbon funds, agricultural platforms, or even relationships. His Exile brings together colleagues and people from his personal life who share his passion for building a better world through infrastructure, integrating communities as part of those projects.

Welcome to Exiled: Dealmakers on a Desert Island, a podcast where we ‘strand’ a guest on a remote island and ask them who from their professional past, present, and future they’d choose to be stranded with. After all, it’s people that make a profession.

From his past

Jorge’s first choice is Jean Paul Moscarella, a seasoned expert in clean tech and clean energy. With his irrepressible optimism and the ability to see challenges as opportunities, JP would bring a hands-on-expertise and can-do attitude to the island.

From his present

Jorge nominated two colleagues, Federico Fische and Patrick Daddario. Federico and Patrick have lived through many generations of clean tech - back from before it was popular! More importantly to Jorge, they bring a sense of perspective and, in a world where you can end up defined by your professional self, Federico and Patrick always help to bring him back to what drives him as a person.

From his future

Jorge would consider picking nobody other than his wife. His life partner is without question the one person he would look forward to navigating the challenges of island life alongside.

Jorge is excited to be working on new investments in the agricultural space for small and medium producers. This underserved market may be difficult to understand, and provide risk support for, but is crucial to supporting communities across the globe.

Tune in next week, when we’ll be speaking with our next Exile!
