The Czech Ministry of Transport announced, earlier this week, plans to launch the tender for the €275 million ($324 million) D4 motorway PPP in April. White & Case, Ceska sporitelna and Obermeyer Helika are advisers to the grantor.

The 30-year availability-based DBFOM concession will be backed by locally denominated payments –forecast to be around CZK900 million per year – although the grantor is considering including some euro-denominated payments. The grantor will also take on interest rate risk on reference rates, while the sponsor will take the margin volatility risk. The scheme is expected to get EIB backing.

The project comprises completion of a 30km section of the D4 between Haje and Mirotice.
