EIB signs €375m deal with National Bank of Egypt to support SMEs

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €375 million financing agreement with the National Bank of Egypt to fund investments by the country's small and medium-sized enterprise and mid-caps.

A percentage of the financing, which comes under the EIB's Economic Resilience Initiative, will target firms owned or run by women as well as enterprises located in less-developed areas of Egypt.
