InfraCo Africa signs PPA for 60MW Djermaya solar project in Chad
The InfraCo Africa-controlled Djermaya Solar project has signed a 25-year PPA with Chad's Ministry of Energy and national utility La Societe Nationale d’Electricite (SNE). The project is being developed in two phases of 32MW and 28MW by Aldwych Africa Development Ltd (AADL) and Smart Energies. A €6.35 million commitment has been secured from the EU-Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund (EU-AITF) to build transmission and substation infrastructure to connect the project to the national grid. The African Development Bank is the mandated lead arranger.
