The Berri Barmera Council in South Australia’s Riverland region is inviting expressions of interest in a tender to build and operate a 10MW solar farm that is thought to be backed by a PPA with a local company, Accolade Wines. The Berri solar project is expected to require a A$25 million ($18 million) investment and been awarded a A$5 million grant through the State Local Government Infrastructure Partnership. The project would be able to access discounted ten-year financing through the Local Government Finance Authority.
