Energy World Corp. Ltd. (EWC) has revived talks with lenders to update its 3 year old loan agreement to complete construction of a 650MW combined cycle gas-fired power plant in Pagbilao, Quezon province, the Philippines. The project's first turbine is only six to eight months away from commercial operation.

The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) is the arranger for the financing that includes $75 million of additional funding for the recently certified energy project of national significance.

EWC is planning a neighbouring 3MTPA capacity LNG facility and will source gas for the power plant from the spot market ahead of the completion of the LNG hub.
