$399m ADB loan to pilot clean heating systems, cut carbon emissions in China

The Asian Development Bank has approved a $399.91 million loan to pilot clean heating and cooling systems that will slash carbon emissions in the highly polluted Shandong Province in China.

The total cost of the project, which is expected to be completed in April 2024, is $710.76 million. The project is the fourth in a multiyear and multisector ADB program to improve air quality in the greater Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-region
