Venice airport project receives €150m EIB financing

The European Investment Bank has agreed a €150 million loan to support the development of the Venice Airport.

The financing will contribute to almost one third of the total investment cost relating to terminal upgrade and extension, runway's renewal and upgrade, construction of additional taxiway and aircraft parking facilities.

At completion, the airport capacity will increase from 11 million to 16 million passengers per year.
