World Bank: Renaud Seligmann new Country Director for Russia

Renaud Seligmann has been appointed World Bank Country Director for Russia.

He joined the bank in 2007 as a Senior Financial Management Specialist in the Africa Region. He has held various positions, including Public Financial Management Sector Leader and Practice Manager in the Governance Global Practice, both in the Africa Region. 

Most recently, Seligmann served as Practice Manager in the Governance Global Practice in the Middle East and North Africa Region. He has also overseen the Digital Governance Community of Practice. 

He will be based in Moscow from January 2020. Seligmann takes over from Andras Horvai, who served as the World Bank’s Country Director and Resident Representative for the Russian Federation from 2015-2019.
