New AfDB role for Stefan Nalletamby

The African Development Bank has appointed Stefan Nalletamby as Acting Vice-President for the Private Sector, Infrastructure and Industrialization Complex .

He has been the Director for the Financial Sector Development Department at AfDB since its creation in September 2014. He oversees three divisions: Financial Inclusion and Intermediation, Capital Markets Development, and Trade Finance.  

He was previously the Coordinator of the Making Finance Work for Africa Partnership (MFW4A), a platform for African governments, the private sector, and development partners to coordinate financial sector development interventions across the continent. 

Prior to his position at MFW4A, he spent ten years in the finance complex of the African Development Bank. During his tenure as Advisor to the Vice President, Finance, he designed and launched the African Financial Market Initiative to further develop local currency bond markets on the continent.
