India targets $100m fund for green energy finance
India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced that its Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) is planning to set up a dedicated “Green Window to serve the unserved segments of renewable energy.” An initial allocation of about $20 million is being considered with plans of leveraging $80 million from other agencies to establish a $100 million fund dedicated to support underserved clean energy markets and the scaling up of new clean energy technologies.
