Wpd has raised a $443 million 19-year loan from CaixaBank and KfW to finance construction of three wind projects in Chile. The two banks have fully underwritten the deal.

The debt backs construction of the 273MW Parque Eolico Malleco in La Araucania, the 39MW Parque Eolico Negrete in Bio Bio, and the 58.8MW Parque Eolico Lomas de Duqueco in Bio Bio. All the projects are underpinned by 20-year PPAs running from 2021.
