The European Investment Bank is providing €45 million to Eólica da Linhato to build three wind farms in Portugal.

The farms have a total nominal capacity of 96MW. Banco Português de Investimento is co-financing the project. The three wind farms are located in the North and West of the country, in Batalha/Leiria (Maunça wind farm - 20.5MW), Tarouca (Vigia wind farm - 28.8MW) and Penacova (Penacova wind farm - 46.8MW).

The project consists of 31 turbines of two different unit size - 2MW and 3.6MW. Each wind farm is connected to the medium voltage network. Electrical equipment such as internal array cabling, transformers and civil works - foundations, access and internal roads - are included in the scope of the project.

Eólica da Linhato is fully owned by EDP Renováveis, S.A (EDPR).
