CDB Leasing orders post-panamax bulker pair at Chengxi Shipyard

CDB Leasing, the financial leasing unit of China Development Bank, has placed an order at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard for the construction of two 85,000 dwt post-panamax bulk carriers as it continues its fleet expansion. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled in 2022. 

CDB Leasing has been actively expanding its fleet recently, having acquired one LNG carrier from CMB International Leasing in December, two boxships from ICBC Leasing and another two boxshops from SinoOceanic in November, and it also ordered eight ultramax bulkers at New Dayang Shipbuilding.
