KfW IPEX helps finance EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr growth projects

German lenders DZ BANK AG, Helaba and KfW IPEX-Bank are providing long-term financing to two investment projects of EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr. 

The trio are together providing providing equal amounts of debt capital totalling up to €262.8 million for the construction of an administration building in Moers and the construction of a logistics centre in Oberhausen in North Rhine-Westphalia. 

All three banks involved are mandated lead arrangers of the transaction.

The new central warehouse in Oberhausen is intended to ease the pressure on the existing warehouses as well as to optimise the entire logistics network in the sales region of EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr, which includes the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring regions in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony.
