Uzbekistan's Sherabad solar tender attracts interest

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy, 54 bidders have responded to its call for expressions of interest in a 200MW solar project in Sherabad, in the (for a full list of bidders click on source below).

The Asian Development Bank is transaction adviser for the tender and the project is part of a 1GW solar program that was jointly developed by the Uzbekistan government and the lender.

Through a separate 400MW PV tender, on which IFC is adviser, the government is also seeking proposals for two 200MWs of solar projects in the Samarkand and Jizzakh regions.
