AfDB and AGTF back Nigerian mini grid programme

The African Development Bank (AfDB) and Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF) are providing $200 million to support Nigeria's National Electrification Project (NEP). The financing will help mitigate risk and facilitate more private investment in mini grid and off-grid solutions. AfDB says it should translate to around 76.5MW of new capacity, of which 68MW will be derived from solar.
