Eli Hopson named first CEO at DC Green Bank

The District of Columbia's newly created DC Green Bank has hired attorney and clean energy expert Eli Hopson as its first Chief Executive Officer. The institution aims to accelerate the state's low-carbon economy by mobilising private finance for energy efficiency improvements and the expansion of renewable energy. Prior to the appointment, he served as Vice President of Legal, Regulatory, and Policy at Cube Hydro Partners, and as Vice President of Legal and Chief Compliance officer at Eagle Creek Renewable Energy. Previously he has held positions at Latham & Watkins, the US House of Representatives Committee on Science, and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the US Department of Energy.
