Datong plans 200MW solar project under CRESP

The Chinese city of Datong in Shanxi province is planning to set up a 200MW solar and 6MW energy storage project to be developed under Phase-II of China’s Renewable Energy Scaling-Up Project (CRESP). Building the grid-connected project in the Tuofeng township in Hunyuan County is estimated to cost RMB920 million ($130 million). The pilot demonstration project is joint development of the Chinese government, the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
