Uxolo Global 2023: AFC's Ajebo on African institutions for Africa

Reporter at Uxolo

Middle East & Africa
During the TXF and Uxolo Global 2023 conference in Lisbon, the team managed to corner some of the leading experts in development finance to ask them about their years so far and their predictions for 2024.

Kome Ajebo, VP of investments at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), highlights the institution's ‘phenomenal’ year after hitting the $10 billion mark in total assets invested and generating its highest net income to date - a significant feat for an African MDB. She states, “We are an African institution with African money trying to solve African problems, and I do not think there is anyone better suited to help address the challenges we face on the continent today”.
