KfW agrees $40m climate project deal with Bangladesh

German development bank KfW has a signed $40 million deal with Bangladesh to support the country's Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming project.

The project will see the construction and renovation of cyclone shelters and critical access road to protect lives in a rural coastal region of Bangladesh; the development of urban infrastructure, and the safeguarding of vulnerable city-dwellers from climate risk.
