Senegal's CRSE selects Engie for two projects under Scaling Solar programme
The Electricity Sector Regulatory Commission (CRSE) has selected an Engie and Meridiam consortium to carry out two solar projects in Senegal which were awarded as part of the World Bank's Scaling Solar programme. A 26.1MW project in Touba was won with a bid of 3.98 euro cents per kWh and a 24.9MW project in Kahone was successful with a 3.80 euro cents per kWh. Eight of 13 prequalifiers submitted bids with the successful award almost 60% lower than previous agreed solar rates in the country.
