Brazil eases funding bottleneck with $960m solar credit line

The Brazilian Ministry of National Integration has announced a $960 million credit line for distributed and centralized solar generation projects in three regions to combat the funding difficulties experienced by three-quarters of the companies in the solar market. The North region will offer a 36-month term with two grace periods. The North-east will operate a maximum 12-year term with four grace periods. Both will charge annual interest at 6.24%. The Midwest will provide funding at 7.33% for a two-year term and six months grace.
