IDB Invest and IFC finance $50m for Achiras wind project

IDB Invest and IFC are providing 15-year debt to fund develeopment of the 48MW Achiras wind farm in Cordoba, Argentina.The financing consists of a $20 million IDB Invest loan and the mobilisation of $10 million from the Canadian Climate Fund for the Private Sector of the Americas, managed by IDB Invest. The IFC is also providing $20.7 million. The project, which is sponsored by developer Central Puerto, includes a 14km transmission line.
