Paraguay delays deadline for financing of $527m highway

Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) is allowing an extension to the April 14 deadline to complete the $527 million financing of the 149km Ruta 2 and Ruta 7 highway PPP project. The Mota Engil, Ocho A and Sacyr consortium known as Rutas del Este now has until October 2018. The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is among the potential backers of the project.
