Ormat signs $125m financing with OPIC for Honduras geothermal project

Ormat Technologies has signed a financing agreement with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) for a non-recourse project finance loan totaling $124.7 million for the 35MW Platanares geothermal power plant in Honduras. The loan will have a 14-year term with interested expected to be set between 6.75% and 7.25%.
