Uganda issues EOI for Kampala-Jinja road PPP

The Uganda National Roads Authority has issued a request for qualifications for groups interested in the design, build, finance, operation and transfer of the Kampala-Jinja Expressway PPP project that is to be split into two Lots. AfDB, AFD and the EU are considering funding support for Lot 1 which comprises the 35km Kampala to Namagunga section and 18km Kampala Southern Bypass (section 1). Lot 2 covers 41 km of the Kampala Jinja Mainline commencing at Namagunga and terminating at Jinja (section 3). The deadline for submissions for the 30-year concession is June 18.
