World Bank: Ferid Belhaj is new VP for MENA

The World Bank has appointed Ferid Belhaj as its new vice president for the Middle East and North Africa region. He was previously chief of staff of the World Bank Group’s president. From 2012 to 2017, he was World Bank director for the Middle East, in charge of work programmes in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Iran.
