AIIB approves $250m loan for Indonesian irrigation project

Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has approved a $250 million loan to improve irrigation services and management accountability in Indonesia. The project consists of three components, including rehabilitation of 100,000 hectares of irrigated areas to overcome the deterioration of irrigation practices, modernization of irrigation and drainage system for 176,000 hectares of the Jatiluhur irrigation system in West Java, as well as project management support.
