Epsa to issue first green bonds for Colombian solar projects

Celsia affiliate Epsa is to issue up to COP420 billion ($146 million) of 12-year notes though a green bond programme to fund development of 186MW of solar projects in Colombia. The IFC and Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN) are each underwriting 50% of the bonds which will be placed in one or several tranches, each for a minimum investment of COP50 billion, over the next three years. The deal is the first of its kind in the Colombian power sector.
