BaltCap infra fund reaches €100m hard cap
The BaltCap Infrastructure Fund (BinF) has reached its €100 million hard cap with a €20 million investment from EBRD. This matches a similar contribution from EIB last year. More than half of the funds were raised from pension funds based in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. It is the first infrastructure fund in the region and focuses on transport, energy and social infrastructure development.
BinF has already invested €16 million into a 48MW biomass plant in Vilnius and €9.45 million to acquire 75% of Anaerobic Holding that operates three biogas plants in Latvia.
