DBSA agrees to finance Kenyan road project

The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) has agreed financing worth almost $615 million for a highway project in Kenya to connect Lamu with Isiolu. The highway project is intended to become part of Kenya's second key transport corridor, with the country's other transport corridor connecting Mombasa and Nairobi with the Ugandan border. The Lamu to Isiolu road will measures 520km long and will be a key portion of the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport corridor.
