ProInversion launches tender for Cuenca del Lago Titicaca PPP

ProInversion has launched the tender for the Cuenca del Lago Titicaca wastewater treatment PPP project after three groups expressed interest. The bidders are Consorcio Aguas de Puno – owned by Spain based companies Tedagua and Acciona – who proposed the project, Veolia Servicios Peru, and FCC Aqualia.

The 30-year PPP concession will require over PEN841 million ($256 million) in investment. The deadline for submissions is 15 September, pre-qualified bidders will be announced on 14 October and final bids are due 26 December. The project will be awarded to the winner on 2 January 2019 before signing a contract on 23 April.

The PPP includes the design, financing, construction, expansion, renovation, operation and maintenance of the main collectors, pumping stations, drive lines, treatment systems and final disposal of waste water from Puno, Juliaca, Ilave, Ayaviri, Juli, Moho, Azangaro, Yunguyo, Huancane and Lampa.
