SGBH sells stake in Bujagali hydro to SN Power for $277m

Sithe Global company SG Bujagali Holdings (SGBH) has completed the sale of its two-thirds interest in Bujagali Energy Limited (BEL) to Norwegian hydropower company SN Power AS for about $277 million.  BEL operates the 250MW Bujagali Hydropower Project located near Jinja, Uganda. Affiliates of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and the Government of Uganda will retain their interest. The project has recently refinanced with lenders including IFC and AfDB.
