FMO releases H1 2018 results, €1bn investments in developing countries
Dutch development bank FMO has released its results for the first half of 2018, revealing that €1 billion was invested in developing countries and emerging markets through FMO, as well as through government and catalyzed funds. Of the total commitments, €360 million represented green investments.
The period saw a decline in net profit compared to the same period last year from €156 million to €124 million. Operating income amounted to €174 million, which is behind budget due to lower net interest income and lower results from equity.
The lender said net profit for 2018 is not fully comparable with previous years due to the implementation of the IFRS9 reporting standard.
