MIGA backs investment in Orange Sierra Leone

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency has issued guarantees for an investment by Senegalese telecommunications company SONATEL S.A's 50% stake in mobile operator Orange Sierra Leone.

Orange Sierra Leone is now jointly owned by SONATEL and Atlas Countries Support, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Orange Middle East and Africa. The guarantees offer up to 15 years' protection against the risks of expropriation and war and civil disturbance.
