EBRD agreed $265m NEPCO loan to boost green energy in Jordan

The EBRD has agreed to provide a $265 million loan to Jordan's National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) to refinance existing short-term debt and fund investment in the grid to enable it to absorb and manage renewable power. Alongside the loan, an ambitious programme of reforms to strengthen NEPCO's governance and operations has been agreed. This will be supported by grant-funded technical cooperation assignments.
