EIB agrees €250m financing to ALD for clean vehicle transition

Region:
Europe

The European Investment Bank has granted €250 million to France's ALD Automotive, to accelerate the lease company’s clean vehicle transition.

The financing will enable the purchase of a total of 15,000 hybrid and electric vehicles for ALD’s EU markets – in particular in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.

ALD’s green fleet is growing fast: 118,000 vehicles at the end of June 2019, with the ambition to hit the 200,000-unit milestone by mid-2020.
